Full house refurb in Berkhamsted
Following a property viewing with the occupational therapist to assess suitability for the client who is a wheelchair user, the property in Berkhamsted was deemed appropriate for their specific needs. The client’s wheelchair dependence arises from several health issues.
Before
The property was in poor condition and lacked essential accessibility features. Narrow doorways, an unsuitable kitchen, and difficult bathroom access, made daily living challenging for the wheelchair user. The entrance and outdoor pathways also needed significant improvements to ensure safe and independent movement.

After
The home has been fully adapted to meet the client's mobility needs. With widened doorways, a wheelchair-friendly kitchen, a reconfigured bathroom, and accessible entrances, the client can now navigate and use the space independently. Additional upgrades, including new flooring, insulation, and ceiling work, have enhanced comfort and liveability.
